InterContinental stanford full harbour view room

Since our wedding anniversary always coincides with Hong Kong's National Day, we decided to celebrate it this year at the InterContinental Grand Stanford

The hotel has a rich history as it has been around for 40 years. It is an-award winning and five-star hotel, which by the way the awards are pedestaled at the ground floor lift area.

Location:
The hotel is easily located in 70 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East. If you are taking the MTR, go down at Tsim Sha Tsui East station and head for exit P1.

Price:
I'd say we got full harbour view for a reasonable price at HKD830 per night. We upgraded it with breakfast buffet for a total of HKD1350 per night.

Breakfast Buffet:
They have a lot of selection from western to Asian food. There's an egg station where they'll cook scrambled, omelette, or sunny side-up for you. There's also a noodles station for those who love noodles for breakfast.

Customer Service:
We were fortunate that we checked it on 30th September at around 3pm. There weren't a lot of people checking in yet but there was a light queue. When it was our turn, they asked for our passport of HK ID card and credit card. After signing the health declaration form, we were done and sent to our room. By the way, we also received welcome drinks from Tiffany's New York Bar.

The next day when I was using the shower, the marble shelf in the shower broke and fell into pieces.

We called the reception and in a short while, somebody checked on us and offered to move us into a different room. Because we're already comfortable in our room, we respectfully declined the offer. After a few minutes, they called us to apologise for the inconvenience and offered to send us some fruits and pastries to our room. On top of that, they also gave us free upgrade the next time we book for a regular room. It was pretty awesome! They really take customer experience to another level by making sure we were not disappointed of what happened and that we will return in the future.
