Love Dogs?

Dogs are said to be man's best friend. And although they couldn't speak, they have their own way of making us feel loved. Moreso, they let us feel we are not alone.

As in the film Bwakaw, an old man's sole companion is a stray dog that hangs around his house and follows him wherever he goes. Being in his twilight years, all he awaits is his death as he thinks it is already too late for love and companionship. It is not until his dog becomes ill and eventually meets a friend when he starts to discover and live his remaining days without fear.

Bwakaw is an official entry to the Cinemalaya 2012 under the Director's Showcase Category. It is directed by Jun Lana. Along with Eddie Garcia are Rez Cortez, Gardo Versoza, Soxy Topacio, and Armida Siguion-Reyna who starred in the film. 

The film will premiere on the 23rd of July at the CCP Main Theatre at 9PM. And if you are wondering on how you can score tickets to the premiere, you might want to join their ongoing contest: BWAKAW DOG PHOTO CONTEST.

Below are the rules according to Bwakaw's Facebook page:

1. LIKE the BWAKAW movie FB page. (Very important!)

2. POST picture of Dog and Owner, not only of dog. Original, Creative and Funny pictures are encouraged as long as both dog and owner are in same photo.


3. Voting for the "Bwakaw" Dog Photo Contest will be held exclusively within the film's FB fan page.
 3. ALL participants agree to have photos of themselves with their dogs be used in promotional material for the film, when and where the producers/filmmakers see appropriate, whether they win or not.


4. IF winner cannot attend the premiere/opening night, free tickets will be provided for other screenings.
